2-way design with advanced tweeter
The Monitor Audio Silver 50 7G features a 2-way design equipped with the newly developed C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter with Uniform Dispersion Waveguide II. The ceramic-coated aluminum tweeter delivers precise and highly detailed high frequencies, ensuring you hear every nuance—whether rediscovering a favorite album, immersing yourself in a game, or getting caught up in the latest blockbuster film.
Updated RST II technology for reduced distortion
Below the tweeter, you’ll find another of Monitor Audio’s proprietary technologies—the legendary C-CAM RST II 5.25-inch bass/midrange driver. The diaphragm is made from an aluminum-magnesium composite, finished with a ceramic coating. If you look closely, you might notice small indentations in the diaphragm. This Rigid Surface Technology was initially developed for the C-CAM driver in the fourth generation of the Silver series and has now been updated. Instead of round indentations, the new design features hexagonal patterns that further reinforce the diaphragm. This is the essence of RST II technology, inspired by Japanese origami. The stiffer the diaphragm, the lighter the material that can be used in its construction. With less mass to move, the driver’s motor achieves greater precision and speed while minimizing distortion.
