The D series from Danish M&K Sound introduces a series of décor-friendly speakers, perfect for use in a high-performance living room audio system. With a slim profile, a compact form factor and a choice of three beautiful, monochromatic satin finishes, the D series speakers are the ideal solution for flanking a flat screen TV. The M&K Sound D85 and D95 can be placed on a stand, in a bookshelf or mounted on the wall using the keyhole-bracket. It also has pattern and threading for Vesa 100 mounts. Combine these with a high-quality AV-receiver and forget everything about soundbars.
Despite prioritizing décor-friendly design and elegant finishes, M&K Sound of course haven’t cut corners in terms of sound quality. M&K Sound D85 has the same slender profile as its larger sibling the M&K Sound D95, but measures just 24.5 x 19.5 cm. The slim cabinet houses a 5.25” polypropylene woofer and a 1.1” silk-dome tweeter. With a frequency response of 95Hz to 20kHz and a sensitivity of 89dB, the D85 is sure to offer hours of high-impact, dynamic movie soundtracks or music albums. Both the D85 and the D95 incorporate a second-order, phase-focused crossover frequency of 1.6kHz, with a silky-smooth, imperceptible transition from woofer to tweeter.
Despite their compact size, both the D85 and D95 offer impressive low-end performance. If you require an earth-shattering rumble, you will however need to pair them with a subwoofer. The sensible choice here, would of course be one of the V+ series subs from M&K Sound.
