Rotel RA-1592 MKII
200-watt integrated amplifier with DAC, Bluetooth and phonostage
Rotel RA-1592 MKII is a powerful amplifier for the price and contains many excellent features and connectivity options. Rotel has simply constructed a small tank with loads of muscle that can handle pretty much anything and, among other things, has a built-in MQA-DAC, Bluetooth, and phono preamplifier.
Suppose you need an amplifier that is both extremely powerful but at the same time presents an extraordinarily open and detailed sound image with very precise bass. In that case, the Rotel RA-1592 MKII can be the solution for you! Rotel is among the very few Hi-Fi manufacturers globally that still make the transformers for their amplifiers in-house and has done so with the utmost care ever since they were founded in 1966! This attention to quality and, in the best sense of the word, conservative approach to renewal is among what has made Rotel so popular worldwide, and it is still to this day a name rightly associated with high-performance Hi-Fi for fair prices that last a lifetime.
The right solution when separate pre- and power amps are not an option
However, RA-1592 MKII is a new creation at Rotel. Apart from their largest preamplifiers and power amplifiers, RC-1590 and RB-1590, this integrated amplifier is the absolute best Rotel has to offer right now and, at the same time, the most powerful integrated amplifier they have ever made. And that says a lot, as Rotel is known for underestimating their power output, which is why this integrated amplifier with 2x200 watts must be said to be conservatively abandoned - again conservative in the best sense of the word.
Highly capable digital section with DSD compatibilty
But this is not because Rotel does not know what the market wants today. Inside the RA-1592 MKII is a high-performance 32-bit Texas Instruments DAC, compatible witht the MQA format, Bluetooth for streaming directly from your mobile device, plus there is a superb phono stage in the amplifier too! So don't say that you can't be conservative cutting edge at the same time - Rotel is at least a strong argument against it.
Dual Mono construction for better channel separation It is also built precisely as a perfect Hi-Fi amplifier should be in this price range. With a super-rigid chassis, balanced inputs, high-quality slit foil capacitors, and dual-mono construction, the Rotel RA-1592 MKII delivers an incredibly high sound quality. Music is allowed in a smooth but highly natural way to fill the space with good sound. The bass is firm and full of authority, but at no time does it rumble or become too much, but it remains precise and punctual at all times.
