Luxury on a budget, the integrated A-S501 amplifier from Yamaha, features the classic finish of the Yamaha AS-2000. A-S501 MKII is the new version of the popular and critically acclaimed A-S500. The two models are virtually identical, but this new Yamaha A-S501 has been equipped with digital inputs, including 1 x coaxial S / PDIF and 1 x optical TosLink.
Pure Direct mode allows you to shorten the signal path, as much as possible and thus get the true hi-fi experience with no signal degradation. Component quality is one of Yamaha's fortés and accordingly, the A-S501 employs only the best components available in the price range and most important of all, they are carefully selected to work together optimally.
Strong, high-quality speaker terminals ensure a proper connection from amplifier to speaker and a good distance between them makes it possible to mount the speaker cable properly without the use of banana plugs. The amplifier is equipped with two aluminum heatsinks, so you can listen to music for hours without fearing for the amplifier catching a heat stroke.
Overall an excellent example of an integrated amplifier a a reasonable price point that does not compromise on the true hi-fi virtues of the company that developed it.
