T+A A 200 is a stereo power amplifier that serves as the perfect partner to the DAC 200, completing a high-end T+A music system. The goal in developing the A 200 was to create a power amplifier capable of combining high current output with audiophile qualities. The result is an amplifier delivering no less than 250 watts per channel without compromising detail, dynamics, or resolution - even under pressure.
The T+A A 200 can function as a power amplifier in any system but naturally fits within T+A's 200 series. Its robust chassis, thick aluminum front panel, and deep cooling fins emphasize the serious engineering behind this amplifier. While it may be 30% narrower than most amplifiers, its performance and sound quality rival those of larger and more expensive models. Power is only relevant when delivered with precision, and in pursuit of the optimal blend of current, sound quality, and efficiency, T+A has developed a new amplifier technology. This technology combines T+A's unique HV circuitry and high-frequency power supply with Eigentakt output stages from Danish company PURIFI, resulting in an unmatched audiophile performance within its class. This platform represents the world's leading Class D amplifier design, addressing the drawbacks of previous generations. The frequency response is completely linear up to 60kHz and remains entirely independent of the connected speaker.
About the 200 Series
T+A’s 200 Series consists of four separate high-end products that, when combined, offer an exceptional music experience within a price range below the company’s HV series. At the heart of the series are the DAC 200 and HA 200—respectively, a reference-class digital converter/preamp and a high-end headphone amplifier. The DAC 200's outstanding digital processing, preamp functionality, and output stage make it the core of a classic high-end music system, while the HA 200 serves a similar role in a top-tier audiophile headphone setup. The MP 200 is a state-of-the-art streamer capable of delivering music from virtually any source, including FM and DAB radio, TIDAL, Qobuz, ROON, and more. It even features a built-in CD drive for high-quality playback of compact discs. The powerhouse of the 200 Series is the A 200, a compact yet highly capable power amplifier delivering no less than 250 watts at 4 ohms. Although the T+A 200 Series products can be used individually, the focus has been on delivering a user-friendly and high-performance solution when assembled as a system.
Like all T+A products, the 200 Series is designed according to the company’s philosophy of timeless aesthetics, where products share a common appearance but each possesses its own unique qualities and personality. For over two decades, this philosophy has guided the design of new product series. The beveled front panels give the products a distinctive charisma, reminiscent of T+A’s iconic M Series from the 1990s. Clean lines and stylish details create the illusion that the devices are smaller than they actually are, while the cooling fins and VU meters serve as a clear indication of their potential—even when turned off.
