Simaudio MOON 310LP

If you want absolutely every single detail rendered from your phono cartridge, it requires a proper phono pre-amplifier. We cannot overstate how important it is for the sound quality you can get from a vinyl record.
Simaudio's 310LP is in the middle of the range of MOON series phono pre-amplifiers, with the smaller MOON 110LP V2 below, and the top models 610LP and 810LP at the top of the range. Moreover, for many vinyl enthusiasts, the MOON 310LP is the right choice. The 310LP has taken much inspiration from the larger models, and qualitatively you get a great deal of the high-end experience, though at a significantly lower price.
Simaudio Signature Sound
Where Simaudio excels is at the authentic sound, with a super-fast, well-defined, and deep-reaching low end. However, it never compromises and leaves you wanting more in other areas. The entire frequency range feels exceptionally coherent, and the low noise floor delivers a black background. Details are lush, mids are very defined, and the top-end is hugely airy, almost letting you reach out and pinpoint every instrument and vocalist in a three-dimensional space.
Balanced and single-ended outputs
The Simaudio MOON 310LP has a range of adjustment options for different types of cartridges, both MM and MC types. It is possible to adjust resistance in five levels, and capacitance in three. There are four different gain settings and optional RIAA or IEC curves. The latter is used to filter infrasonic sound, also known as a subsonic filter. In terms of connectivity, this phono pre-amplifier is also reasonably equipped. You’ll find single-ended RCA and balanced XLR in- and outputs. This glorious piece of high-end electronics is wrapped in a half-width cabinet with a beautiful, slightly curved front, and the iconic Simaudio logo embossed in gold.
