Lindemann Audio Limetree Phono II
Phono pre-amplifier for MM and MC cartridges
The Phono II from Lindemann Audio’s exquisite Limetree Series, is proof that size doesn’t always matter. This diminutive phono pre-amplifier might not take up the shelf space of larger, more expensive units, but it punches way above its weight.
Lindemann Limetree Phono II is equipped with two discrete input stages, each trimmed for their respective cartridge type, ensuring maximum fidelity, whether using an MM or an MC phono cartridge. If you’re the moving magnet type, adding this phono stage to your system is a breeze. Simply plug it in and you’re ready to to take your analog pleasures to the next level. If you’re using a moving coil cartridge, you have the opportunity to adjust the input impedance in steps from 100 to 800 Ohms.
The dual-stage circuitry with passive RIAA curve equalization, is based on J-FET amplifiers and ultra-precision resistors and capacitors from Japan. The passive equalization offers a number of advantages, including much lower distortion in the lower frequency range. An outboard, medical grade power supply ensures good isolation from noise introduced from the power grid. Combined with the onboard filtering and voltage regulators, an exceptionally low-noise supply of power, with ripple voltage below 10µV is achieved.
