Phono stage for MM and MC cartridges
The PH-5 is a scaled down version of the much-lauded PH-10 and PH-1000, drawing inspiration from both, but at a much more attainable price point. With its single RCA input it supports moving magnet and moving coil cartridges and offers a selection of RIAA, Decca London and American Columbia curves, with enhanced settings. Of course, you’ll also have access to settings for load and gain adjustment, guaranteeing high flexibility and versatility for any audio system and cartridge type.
As a first for Gold Note, the PH-5 comes with a color touch-display on the front, enabling easy access to settings and adjustments, even while playing music. The phono stage is based on a brand-new design, integrating the electronics on a single bord. The signal path is made through discrete audio-grade components and sealed switches, optimized to shorten the distance between input and output, minimizing interference. Every setting selected via the touch-panel, is applied to the signal using relays. The PH-5 offers an analog purity and delivers superior audio quality and extensive amounts of detail from the vinyl record.
The Gold Note PH-5 offers a selection of three curves; RIAA, Decca London and American Columbia, and thanks to their proprietary technology, inspired by Georg Neumann, each curve can be enhanced to extend the frequency response up to 50kHz.
