The built-in phono preamp in the Planar 1 Plus is based on the award-winning Rega Mini Fono with the USB output omitted. This results in a lower overall price and slightly better sound quality, as the analog circuitry operates without interference from digital components. That’s the Rega way: making things easier, more affordable, and smarter while still offering the best sound quality in the market for the price. Like the standard Rega Planar 1, the Planar 1 Plus features the excellent Rega Carbon cartridge, Rega's highly precise and low-friction bearings in all mechanical components, a vibration-free motor, and a design built to be as rigid and lightweight as possible.
