The turntable is ready to use and comes with a cartridge included. It only needs to be assembled, and then you’ll have high-quality vinyl sound. However, remember that you need an external phono stage if your amplifier or active speakers do not have this built in. The Pro-Ject Debut EVO 2 is available in a variety of colors, so you can match the turntable to your décor.
Debut series turntable - Better than ever!
With the Debut EVO 2, Pro-Ject builds on one of the most popular series they have ever released, with a range of improvements and upgrades. It is equipped with an excellent 8.6” long carbon fiber tonearm, mounted with a high-precision bearing with very low friction. The more agile the tonearm, the better the needle tracks in the record’s groove, and the better sound you will get from your vinyl records. And the needle has also been upgraded in this latest generation of the Debut EVO 2. The arm is equipped with the brand-new Pick It MM EVO cartridge, which was developed in collaboration with the Danish company Ortofon, known worldwide for their expertise in this area. The cartridge is an MM type that works with most phono stages and phono inputs on amplifiers.
Newly designed platter
Another new feature of the Pro-Ject Debut EVO 2 is the platter. It is essentially the same type as the one on the previous model, a 1.7kg heavy aluminum platter. To minimize ringing and resonance, Pro-Ject has upgraded the platter with a thermoplastic ring, which helps reduce unwanted sound and resonance from the platter. Additionally, it is anti-magnetic, so you can easily upgrade to an MC-type cartridge in the future if you wish. For further stabilization of the record on the platter, you can purchase a Pro-Ject Record Puck E, which ensures that the record lies evenly and steadily. But first, you must ensure that the turntable itself is level. This is easily done with the three adjustable damping feet placed under the turntable.
High quality - built in Europe
The Pro-Ject Debut EVO 2 is built in Europe with generally high construction quality. It comes with a clear acrylic cover, so you can spend time listening to music instead of dusting the turntable. Here’s a tip: keep the dust cover open when playing records to avoid the risk of the cartridge picking up any resonances that may occur in the enclosed space.
