The SL-1300G turntable offers cutting-edge audio technology with its ΔΣ-Drive motor system, which significantly enhances rotational accuracy and minimizes vibration. The coreless direct-drive motor eliminates cogging, ensuring smooth and consistent turntable rotation.
SL-1300G's twin-rotor design reduces bearing load and minimizes minute vibrations, while the chassis and coil mounting base have been reinforced to improve overall rigidity. These improvements contribute to high-fidelity sound quality. One of the standout features is the ΔΣ-Drive (Delta Sigma Drive), which utilizes Technics' expertise in PWM signal processing to further reduce harmonics and motor-induced vibrations. This results in highly accurate, stable rotation, producing a rich and precise musical output.
The turntable platter itself is built with a three-layered design, combining brass, aluminum, and a rubber layer for superior rigidity and vibration damping. This construction allows for smoother, more stable rotation with an inertial mass surpassing previous industry standards like the SP-10MK2. Additionally, the SL-1300G features a two-layered cabinet structure, combining BMC and aluminum die-cast materials for enhanced rigidity. The top panel has been reinforced with ribs to reduce vibrations, and each unit undergoes precise balance adjustment at the factory to further minimize noise and vibrations.
For power supply, the turntable uses a high-speed switching circuit, reducing ripple and hum. Advanced noise-cancelling technology, called Current Injection Active Noise Cancelling, ensures cleaner power by removing low-frequency noise. Lastly, the tonearm, an essential part for accurate groove tracing, is crafted with high-precision bearings and an aluminum pipe for optimal initial-motion sensitivity, ensuring superior sound performance across various cartridge types.
