Stream Music from Services, Roon, or Network Storage

No matter how you store or receive your digital music, the NEO Stream has you covered. It features integrated Tidal Connect and Spotify Connect, support for a local NAS server via DLNA/UPnP, and Apple AirPlay. Additionally, it’s Roon Ready, making it an endpoint for a Roon server on your network. You can also connect a USB drive loaded with audio files. Most functions can be controlled through iFi Audio’s Stream-iFi app, while streaming services and Roon are operated via their respective apps and software.

A Trinity of Network Connections

iFi Audio’s engineers have gone above and beyond in designing the NEO Stream’s network connectivity. In addition to a standard RJ45 input, it includes an industrial-grade M12 port as an alternative (cable sold separately). Most intriguingly, iFi Audio has developed the OptiBox, a compact converter that takes a network signal from a standard RJ45 cable and converts it to an optical signal. This provides the highest-quality connection from your router to the streamer, ensuring ultra-fast speeds and stability. The signal from your router is regenerated, reclocked, and rebalanced, with the router galvanically isolated from the streamer. The OptiBox and an appropriate optical digital cable are included in the package. The iFi Audio NEO Stream is built from the ground up to deliver versatile functionality and exceptional audio performance. It combines the latest version of iFi’s remarkable streaming engine with a carefully engineered DAC section to transform digital signals into analog soundwaves with precision.

NEO Stream Features True Native DAC from Burr-Brown

As in many of its other products, iFi Audio has chosen a Burr-Brown chipset for digital-to-analog conversion. This is due to its True Native architecture, which keeps files bit-perfect from input to output. The four-channel chip design processes PCM and DSD streams separately, avoiding multibit processing or conversion to PCM. This makes the NEO Stream an excellent choice for those who appreciate high-resolution studio-quality formats. Beyond the DAC chip itself, iFi Audio has programmed a 16-core XMOS chip to receive and optimize digital signals for the Burr-Brown DAC.

Extensive Format and Quality Support

The NEO Stream supports a wide range of formats and quality levels, including PCM up to 32-bit/768kHz, DSD512, and DXD. It also provides full MQA decoding, ideal for Tidal users, ensuring full file unfolding. Leveraging iFi Audio’s expertise in noise reduction, the NEO Stream’s USB inputs and outputs feature active noise cancellation (ANC II), while its S/PDIF inputs utilize iPurifier technology. Coupled with a femto-precision GMT clock to eliminate jitter, the result is pure, unadulterated music.

Elegant Design and Display

The NEO Stream can be placed horizontally or vertically using the included stand. Its 4-inch color display rotates depending on the device’s orientation, ensuring a clear view of the album playing and the quality of the audio files being streamed.
