Cambridge Audio MXN10 is equipped with the latest version of their StreamMagic platform, which encompasses a wide range of streaming possibilities, including Spotify Connect, Tidal and Qobuz. It also supports AirPlay 2, Chromecast, and Bluetooth for local wireless streaming, and is certified Roon Ready. The free StreamMagic app for iOS and Android is used to control the MXN10, whether using online streaming services, playing music from a network attached storage or a USB drive attached to the unit. If you’re the lucky owner of a Roon based music server, the MXN10 simply acts as an endpoint, and controlling it is done via Roon’s app on your smart device or computer.
Even though the MXN10 is part of Cambridge Audio’s budget-friendly AX-series, it comes with a high-quality ESS Sabre 9033Q DAC onboard, ensuring a high-class digital to analog conversion. If you’ve already invested in an external DAC or own an amplifier with digital inputs, you can opt to connect the MXN10 using optical TosLink or coaxial S/PDIF.
Connecting to your home network can be done via Wi-Fi supporting 2.4gHz and 5gHz as well as wired ethernet supporting up to 100mbit.
