The Eversolo T8 is built on a solid technological foundation, and is created for one thing: to deliver pure, precise digital sound to an external DAC or an amplifier with a digital input. Eversolo has already made a name in Hi-Fi circles with the budget-friendly streamers in the DMP-A6 series, and with high-end products like the Eversolo DMP-A10.

Built for digital performance

The T8 includes the same comprehensive streaming platform as the other products, but is optimized for handling sound in the digital domain before it is converted to analog form. That is why special focus has been placed on crucial components to ensure the best possible performance. This includes, among other things, a very high-precision femtoclock, which ensures that the signal is handled with reference-class timing, greatly reducing jitter issues. In addition, significant development has gone into the power supply, which stands out with extremely low noise, so the music is presented with an ink-black background where even the smallest details can emerge.

Wide range of interfaces for connection to DAC

You will find a wide range of connectivity options on the Eversolo T8, so you can connect it to your DAC or amplifier with a digital input, almost regardless of the type. Here you get the classic optical and electrical S/PDIF connections, as well as a balanced digital connection via AES/EBU. An isolated USB output separates power and data paths to keep the signal as clean as possible when transferred to the external DAC. Last but not least, there is also an I2S output, often found on high-end DACs, ensuring plug n’ play connection between the two devices. Connection to your network can be handled wirelessly via Wi-Fi 6 or with a cable to your router or switch. You can use a standard network cable or a fiber optic SFP network cable, which eliminates the electrical connection between the Eversolo T8 and an SFP module**.

Lots of streaming features

As mentioned, the Eversolo T8 is based on the same streaming platform as seen in their other products. This means access to a wide range of streaming services*, including Qobuz, Tidal, Spotify, and more. The Android-based operating system also allows installation of apps, so for example Apple Music can be installed directly on the unit. The streamer is also Roon Ready-certified, so it can be part of a Roon-based streaming system. There are virtually no limits on supported file formats, and with up to DSD512 and PCM at 768kHz/32-bit, it is ready for studio-quality music experiences. As an alternative to streaming, or perhaps as an addition, it is also possible to install NVMe SSD drives** in the Eversolo T8. It supports up to 16TB (2 x 8TB modules), leaving room for very large music collections.

Evotune room correction

With the T8, you also get Eversolo’s Evotune, a room correction system that optimizes the sound according to the acoustics of the room you are listening in. Evotune can be configured with a smartphone, using its built-in microphones for measurement. However, we recommend investing in an Eversolo EM-01 microphone, as it is made for this purpose and more precise. The Eversolo T8 comes with a combined Bluetooth/infrared remote control but can of course also be operated with Eversolo’s excellent app (Eversolo Control) and directly via the large touch screen.
