Immersive Audio Formats
The Onkyo TX-NR7100 supports the latest audio formats, DTS:X and Dolby Atmos, so with the right speaker setup, you can bring the full Hollywood experience home. Dolby Surround and DTS Neural:X allow for immersive sound, even with older films that were not produced in the new audio formats. The Dolby Atmos Height Virtualizer creates a virtual height effect in compatible speaker systems.
Dialogue Enhancement
The Vocal Enhancer function addresses the issue of dialogue getting lost in movies and TV shows by using digital signal processing to boost the frequency level of vocals in the audio track. This feature can be adjusted using buttons on the remote control.
Zone 2+3 Output
The height/surround-back/bi-amp speaker outputs can be configured as Zone 2 and Zone 3, allowing you to connect an extra set of speakers in another room. This function can be used while still maintaining a full 5.2 speaker system in the primary room. You can synchronize playback of a single source or choose to play two different things in the two zones.
Calibration and Included Microphone
To get the most out of your Onkyo TX-NR7100, you can use the included microphone to measure and optimize the sound specifically for your room. AccuEQ streamlines the initial setup of the surround receiver by calculating the distance between speakers and adjusting crossover frequency and sound pressure.
