This speaker comes with newly developed outrigger feet, originally designed for the latest Gold series. These ensure stable placement on any surface, whether hardwood floors or soft carpets. It features a 2.5-way design, meaning that in addition to the tweeter, there are two other drivers within the cabinet—one dedicated to bass and the other serving as a combined bass/midrange driver. The Monitor Audio Silver 200 7G is available in a variety of stunning finishes, including lacquer and real wood veneer. The speaker can also be fitted with the included fabric grille for a refined, stylish look.
2.5-Way Design with C-CAM Gold Dome Tweeter
The Monitor Audio Silver 200 7G features a 2.5-way construction and is equipped with the newly developed C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter with Uniform Dispersion Waveguide II. The ceramic-coated aluminum tweeter ensures precise and highly detailed high frequencies, capturing every nuance—whether you’re rediscovering a favorite album, immersing yourself in a game, or getting lost in the latest blockbuster film.
Upgraded RST II Technology for Reduced Distortion
Beneath the tweeter lies another proprietary Monitor Audio technology: the legendary C-CAM RST II 5.25” bass/midrange driver. The diaphragm is crafted from an aluminum-magnesium composite, finished with a ceramic coating. Below this bass/midrange unit, a dedicated 5.25” bass driver provides deeper and more powerful low-end performance—one of the key advantages of choosing a floorstanding speaker over a compact model. If you look closely, you may notice the small indentations on the diaphragm. This Rigid Surface Technology (RST) was originally introduced in the fourth generation of the Silver series but has now been further refined. Instead of round indentations, the new design features hexagonal structures, which add even greater rigidity to the diaphragm. This is the essence of RST II technology, inspired by Japanese origami. The stiffer the diaphragm, the lighter the material that can be used in its construction. With less mass for the driver’s motor to move, precision and speed are improved while distortion is minimized
