They come with both spikes for carpeted floors and rubber feet for hard surfaces like wood or concrete. 3-way design with dual 8-inch woofers
The Monitor Audio Silver 500 7G features a 3-way design equipped with the newly developed C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter with Uniform Dispersion Waveguide II. Advanced C-CAM drivers
Beneath the tweeter is another of Monitor Audio’s proprietary technologies—the legendary C-CAM RST II 3-inch midrange driver, housed in the same module as the tweeter. The 3-way design also includes two dedicated 8-inch bass drivers. All C-CAM drivers are made from an aluminum-magnesium composite, finished with a ceramic coating. If you look closely, you may notice the small indentations in the diaphragm. This Rigid Surface Technology was initially developed for the C-CAM drivers in the fourth generation of the Silver series but has now been updated. Instead of circular indentations, the new design features hexagonal patterns that further reinforce the diaphragm. This is the essence of RST II technology, inspired by Japanese origami. The stiffer the diaphragm, the lighter the material that can be used in its construction. With less mass to move, the driver’s motor achieves greater precision and speed while minimizing distortion.
