Sleek, high-performance speaker in a modern design
The third edition of Radius series from Monitor Audio, offers a number of new models. One of them is the Radius 200. The Monitor Audio Radius 200 model is a new take on the previous series' Radius 180HD, and has been fitted with an extra woofer-midrange driver, contributing to a major improvement in both dynamics and fullness.
Compared to the previous 180HD you'll get even better performance and the cabinet is now even leaner cabinet. The cabinet is still made of MDF which is the optimal material for a speaker, and it is available in three different finishes. Radius 200 can be used for a variety of purposes. Together with a subwoofer, for example Radius 380, it's the obvious choice for use in the living room, where great audio is wanted, but requirements for size and appearance also come into play.
The Radius series is also very capable when used in a home theater setup. Radius series is made with a modern design and comes in three different finishes, including black or white high gloss and a walnut veneer. Other manufacturers rely on aluminum, plastic or other 'fancy' materials but Monitor Audio stands firm that wood is the right material for a speaker. We could not agree more and can only refer to some competitors even more expensive compact solutions, that leave a lot to be desired.
