It is designed to fit perfectly atop models like the Monitor Audio Silver 300 7G, where it integrates seamlessly as part of a larger speaker system. The angled driver directs sound toward the ceiling, where it reflects and disperses toward the listening position. For those who prefer a more traditional setup, the integrated mounting bracket allows for wall installation, making it an excellent option for height channels in the front of your home theater. However, mounting hardware is not included, so you may need to visit your local hardware store for expert advice on securing them to your specific wall type.
High-Performance 2-Way Design
The Monitor Audio Silver AMS 7G features a 2-way design equipped with the newly developed C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter with Uniform Dispersion Waveguide II. The ceramic-coated aluminum tweeter delivers precise, high-resolution reproduction of upper frequencies, ensuring you catch every detail—whether rediscovering a favorite album, diving into a game, or immersing yourself in the latest blockbuster.
Premium Driver Technology
Beneath the tweeter lies another of Monitor Audio’s proprietary innovations—the legendary C-CAM RST II 5.25” mid/bass driver. This driver is crafted from an aluminum-magnesium composite and finished with a ceramic coating. If you take a closer look, you’ll notice the small indentations on the diaphragm. This Rigid Surface Technology was originally developed for the fourth-generation Silver Series but has since been upgraded. Instead of circular dimples, the new hexagonal pattern enhances structural rigidity even further. This is the core principle behind RST II technology, inspired by Japanese origami: the stiffer the diaphragm, the lighter the materials that can be used in its construction. Less moving mass results in greater precision, faster response, and minimized distortion.
