Core 100 series custom install speaker for in-wall mounting
Monitor Audio, one of the world's largest speaker manufacturers, of course also offers a comprehensive range of custom install speakers for both in-wall and in-ceiling mounting. The Core series is their most versatile and the wide range has a speaker for every need. The Core series is available in three different price and quality classes, so regardless of the level of ambition, there is also a speaker that will meet your needs. The series is available for both in-ceiling and in-wall installation.
The Core 100 series are the entry-level models, offering the well-known, high-quality Monitor Audio sound and performance at a very affordable price. The speakers are equipped with drivers of the same basic construction and materials that you find in the larger Hi-Fi speakers from Monitor Audio. The bass and midrange drivers in the Core 100 series are the MMP II type which are made with a plastic cone loaded with metal particles. It’s a light, fast and good design, and combined with the high-performance C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter, you get a lot of quality for your hard earned money. If you want to combine custom install speakers with regular stand mount or floor standing speakers, for example in a multi-channel setup, the Core 100 series integrate well with Monitor Audio's Bronze series.
Monitor Audio W180 is a 2-way construction with 8" mid-woofer and adjustable tweeter that can be pivoted 15 degrees. It makes it possible to focus the sound towards a desired position, and also allows you to avoid unwanted reflections from walls etc. The front of the speaker is completely flat so the speaker can be mounted almost flat with the ceiling. The grille can also be painted to match the color of the ceiling.
