The iFi Uno is a compact and powerful external DAC (Digital to Analogue Converter) designed to enhance the sound quality of your music, movies, games, podcasts, and YouTube content. It improves upon the standard DACs found in digital devices by providing more detailed and realistic audio.
With a small and durable case made from mineral-filled polymer, the iFi Uno features advanced DAC and headphone amp circuitry that can upgrade the audio performance of various digital devices. It connects to your Windows PC or Apple Mac via a USB-C input and requires no additional power source, as it receives both power and audio data from the connected device.
The iFi Uno supports various file formats, including PCM 32bit/384kHz, fully native DSD256, and MQA. PCM is a high-quality file format used in CDs and DVDs, while DSD offers even higher audio quality. MQA is an award-winning technology that allows for streaming of original master recordings.
The device offers adjustable analogue gain with Dynamic Range Enhancement, along with technologies to minimize Total Harmonic Distortion and crosstalk. It also provides a choice of digital filters, allowing users to fine-tune the sound to their preferences.
The iFi Uno's analogue circuitry is just as important as its digital technology, with a headphone amp featuring iFi's S-Balanced configuration to reduce noise and crosstalk. The gold-plated analogue outputs resist corrosion and maintain conductivity over time. Unlike most DACs that use digital volume control, the iFi Uno utilizes analogue volume control to preserve the quality of the audio when adjusting the volume.
