Van Den Hul The Second
Single-ended interconnect cable
Following the tremendous success of their coaxial interlink The First, it was the perfect time to introduce a balanced version featuring Linear Structured Carbon (LSC) conductors. Naturally, this balanced version was named The Second. The Second incorporates two central conductors, each composed of identical groups of LSC, containing 12,000 individually insulated carbon fibers. This unique insulation ensures exceptional signal transmission, preventing unwanted electron crossings between conductors, which can cause boundary distortions. As a result, electrons move in a single direction without interference.
The conductors are insulated with polyethylene foam in white and brown for optimal performance. Additionally, specially treated synthetic filler fibers protect The Second from humidity infiltration, maintaining low and stable capacitance. For superior shielding, The Second features a four-layer protection system, consisting of two sets of helically wound, dense silver-coated OFC strands and two LSC-saturated layers. This ensures complete shielding from external signal interference while enhancing overall cable performance. The outer jacket is crafted from light brown Hulliflex, offering the best external insulation possible. The Second is available in pre-assembled lengths, equipped with C – 7.3 RCA connectors for single-ended applications and Neutrik XLR connectors on request, for balanced use.
There are virtually no limitations on cable length; in fact, The Second has been produced in lengths up to 25 meters for professional microphone applications. Additionally, this cable delivers exceptional resolution and neutrality, making it an outstanding choice for electrical instrument connections.
